🔥 From the Pits to the Peaks: Fernando’s BBQ Journey in Argentina 🔥
At 2Fifty BBQ, we believe that great barbecue is a lifelong craft—one that’s constantly evolving, shaped by fire, patience, and a deep respect for tradition. That’s why our very own Fernando González is currently in Mendoza, Argentina, attending the Smoke & Fire Master Class with two of the biggest names in live-fire cooking: Francis Mallmann & Aaron Franklin.
Learning from the Legends
For any BBQ lover, this experience is the ultimate dream. Francis Mallmann, the king of Argentine asado, is famous for his dramatic, open-fire cooking techniques, while Aaron Franklin, the undisputed brisket master, has set the gold standard for Texas BBQ. Together, they’re leading an exclusive hands-on journey into the heart of fire cooking—and Fernando is right there, soaking it all in.
The master class dives deep into live-fire techniques, wood selection, and the balance of smoke, heat, and time. Fernando is experiencing Mallmann’s legendary “siete fuegos” (seven fires) method and refining his already world-class brisket skills under Franklin’s guidance.
Why This Matters for 2Fifty BBQ
This isn’t just a trip—it’s an investment in our craft. Bringing together the best of Argentine asado and Texas BBQ reflects what 2Fifty is all about: respect for tradition while always pushing forward.
When Fernando returns, expect even more innovation, new techniques, and maybe a few surprises hitting the pits. One thing’s for sure—our commitment to low and slow, all wood, all good BBQ just got even stronger.
Stay tuned for more updates from 2Fifty on the road! 🔥🍖
